Reopening

I am glad to be at your service since May 5, 2017.

After the total refurbishment of our office I offer you all chemotherapies according to the newest international guidelines on two floors and more than 350 square meters in our out-patient department. For your treatment you may decide between one of our tastefully designed private lounges or the amply and light-flooded day unit with 70 square meters.

My 24 years long professional experience at university allows me to guarantee you highest medical standards along with least possible side effects. Sickness, loss of hair, listlessness and fatigue can be prevented. My supportive concept allows me to offer you a maximum of normality in your daily life for your time under treatment!

Therefore, I work together with chief physicians and acknowledged experts from both universities of Munich and from the municipal hospitals as well as with licensed colleagues of surgery, radiotherapy, radiology, pathology and of course with your family doctor. Only together we will succeed in finding the best therapy for you.

Yours sincerely,

Specialized medical facility

"Muenchner Onkologie" is an internal medicine outpatient clinic under the direction of Dr. med. Daniela Grenacher-Horn . The priority areas of our clinic include oncology, hematology, hemostasis and clinical immunology. Its central location in Munich's Old Town, between the Marienplatz City Hall and the Cathedral, offers an ideal transport connection.

International cancer center

"Muenchner Onkologie" is open to patients from different cultural backgrounds. We provide our service in different languages (English, French, Arabic, Russian, Mandarin) and also take into account the cultural and religious needs of our domestic and foreign patients. As an international center of expertise and services, we are in contact with other cancer centers worldwide.

Philosophy

The philosophy of "Muenchner Onkologie" is based on an individualized, but yet integrated therapy. The ultimate objective of "Muenchner Onkologie" is to treat diseases in a comprehensive and holistic approach. This is not the disease itself in the center of medical practice, but the sick man in his current physical and mental condition. Our individual therapy concepts are based on the medical, social and psychological needs of our patients and are specifically tailored to the individual. We can draw on experiences from different areas of medicine.

Spectrum

We offer the full range of modern diagnostics aimed at early detection of tumors, benign and malignant diseases of the blood-forming system, blood clotting disorders and autoimmune diseases by using modern laboratory tests including specific immunological and molecular genetic approaches, or the most innovative methods of medical imaging - such as PET / CT or whole-body MRI diagnosis - we rely on advanced technologies that provide detailed insights into the disease process.

Patient competence

The appropriate treatment of tumours may decide on life and death. With our experienced oncologists you can get a second opinion in the form of an extensive report. Here, various treatment options are critically discussed and compared with each other.

Individualized therapy

Our treatment recommendations are based on the nature of the disease, their circumstances, their course and the treatment goal. Last but not least we orientate ourselves to the desires and needs of our patients and their families. They are therefore, after a detailed explanation of the options, firmly involved into the decision process.
In addition to "traditional medical treatment" based on national and international guidelines and specifications, such as systemic chemotherapy, anti-hormonal therapy, therapy with monoclonal antibodies and targeting substances (substances that interact with growth-promoting signals to the tumor cells), we also provide additional and complementary measures.

Diagnosis and therapy not only for cancer patients

In the day hospital and outpatient clinic of the "Muenchner Onkologie" we are concerned not only with the diagnosis and treatment of all types of oncologic diseases, but also with the treatment of malignant hematological diseases (diseases of the hematopoietic system). This applies particularly to patients with chronic leukemia (lymphoid or myeloid), myelodysplastic syndrome, malignant lymphoma (Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's) and multiple myeloma. Also the diagnosis and treatment of benign hematologic disorders (not based on a malignant disease) such as anemia, thrombocytopenia and neutropenia and disorders of iron and copper metabolism are in our focus. The treatment of bleeding disorders including thrombophilia (thrombotic disorders) and bleeding disorders (e.g. clotting factor deficiency, etc.) are also in our focus. In addition to antibody deficiency syndromes, another area of priority relates to the treatment of autoimmune diseases of the hematopoietic system (see above), the nervous system (multiple sclerosis, peripheral autoimmune neuropathies), neuromuscular transmission (myasthenia gravis), blood vessels (vasculitis), the joints and the skeletal system (rheumatoid arthritis, diseases of the connective tissue collagen) as well as autoimmune diseases of the colon (inflammatory bowel disease), liver and thyroid gland. If preventive check-up investigations such as ECG, stress ECG, 24-hour ECG, long-term BP measurements, bone densitometry, and pulmonary function testing may be necessary or required, we are also happy to offer this kind of analysis.
